a sketch i completed a while ago capturing my parents affectionate moment.

Inspiring piece of Architecture:

New library of Alexandria Egypt

Bibliotheca Alexandrina

i visited this library 3 years ago while sightseeing in egypt; the interior and exterior architecture inspired me due to its unique structure and significant symbolism.

It is a modern glass-and-steel structure with giant exterior grey granite walls carved with hieroglyphs and symbols from every known alphabet worldwide. This architectural showpeice symbolises the sun rising out of the Mediterranean and the rebirth of Alexandria in the late 1990s.
